The Only Beer Drinking Blog

It pains me to think that if you have nothing to write about on your blog, you’re actually living a pretty boring life.

Yes, I’ve seen those other blogs out there. Their posts about their travels through European countries with endless pictures plastered all over their blog which takes a decade to load on your computer screen. Yes, I have ventured to blogs where they pour out their stories about their love life which seem to have been stolen from a One Tree Hill script. Best friend A accidently slept with Crush A who is actually not in love with Best Friend A but is madly in love with enemy B who is actually gay and giving blow jobs to his gay Communication Lecturer in college. Who happens to be the brother of your current gf. Oh! the fucking drama!

Then you get those irritating picture blogs where a picture will be taken of what the blogger had for breakfast which will be followed by a picture of him wearing his socks which will be then followed by another picture of the blogger starting his car engine and then the he will continuously put up photos of every single mundane thing he does through his day. I mean honestly, WTF? But you know what, it gets hits. Hmm the power of pictures I suppose. Plus what is most probably the trick to these kind of picture blogs are that he NEVER takes pictures of himself. You know to reamin all mysterious and all emo. It works I tell you.

And then you come to dannoisawesome which is like “………..”

I am not too sure on how one can define this blog. I certainly can’t really take pictures of my travels cause usually I am stuck here in Penang. My life ain’t some teenage drama either so nah I don’t think I can pull off that emo drama bullshit.

So it leaves me to the photo blog thingy.

I might just give it ago but then again, who really wants to know whats an auditor’s day is like? My blog would most probably end up like

10. Chun

The Malaysian equivalent to the American term “Hot”

eg. ” That girl over there, she’s chun. I would give her an 8.”

9. Ciao/Chao (depending if you’re Italian or Malaysian)

To say goodbye. IT is spelt Ciao in Italian and Chao in Hokkien/Manglish/Canto.

eg. “Ciao wei. Gotta go bang that chun chick I met at QE II last night”

8. Layan

To layan something means to be able to put up with something that ain’t that chun but you don’t mind it.

eg. “That new album from The Cure, I can layan-la. It’s nothing compared to their older albums but can layan.”

7. Wicked/Sweet

An overused word equivalent to “Cool”, “Rad” and etc.

eg. ” That’s a wicked new ride you have there mate. Where did you get your mods done on it?”

eg. ” You got us free beers from the bar? Sweet”

6. Pussy Trapped (PT-ed)

A Male who is unable to join his mates to do normal guy things to appease that wonder bitch called a Girlfriend.

eg. ” Ken won’t be able to make it for beers tonight. He has been pussy trapped by his girlfriend once again”

5. Cas ko

To smoke a dart. Commonly used by Penang Free School Boys from 2000 – 2002.

eg ” Eh, come. Lets go to the basketball court and have a Cas Ko before class. I’m dying for a ciggy.

4. Jailbait

A chun hot girl who is underage and if caught fucking with her, could lead to a couple of months in prison or even worse, marriage.

eg. ” Those girls from CPT are all so chun. Can layan la! but  you gotta be careful cause they are all just jailbait.

3. Sehr Gut

German for the English term “very good”

eg. ” Hey Matt, I’ll shout you a beer once we hit the bar mate.”

” Ah, Sehr Gut!”

2.  High

A state of mind where you are at peace :)

eg. ” I was so High last night from all the beers/whiskey/weed/pills/drugs/coffee/poppy flowers/roses/dog shit/cat piss/coke/ice/animal barf/great sex/blowjobs that I am still floating up there man.”

1. Awesome

A state of greatness or Epicness

eg. “Dannoisawesome. Full Stop”

Never in my life have I performed anything wasted and high before on a stage to a crowd full of people. My mates from the now (temporarily?) disbanded Whitelight have been known to be completely fucked before going on stage, truely living the whole rock and roll thing. Me on the other hand, have never gone up on a stage to perform or play with anything more than a maximum of 3 or 4 beers throughout the night. Plus most of the times I do go on a stage to play bass or whatever is usually for Sunday morning church service (which I have played hungover but not drunk…..shhhhh please).

So last Saturday when I went up during the Penang Intercompany Accounting (aka MICPASS) Annual Dinner, was the first time ever that I had gone up on stage and performed completely F$#KeD out of my mind.

I initially intended to do a cover of Lifehouse’s Spin acoustically but I had been so wasted that I had forgotten the 2nd verse so I had to cut short the whole thing and finished it early. The Malay clerks from EY (which were really cool dudes btw. I joined them for a smoke after the dinner) who were pretty much wasted themselves shouted that I should do another song and my performance was too short. So I decided to appease the crowd, sat down, mumbled something about “Satu Malaysia” and did Belaian Jiwa, which I also forgot the 2nd verse of the damm song as well. Oh well.

Yea, there you go. It appears I pulled it off pretty well! Some came up telling me it was a pretty decent performance. But honestly hahaha I think I knew better. Even in my wasted state I could remember fucking up one or two chords here and there. So, If someone has a video of me peforming that day please buzz me. Haha I really want to know how I play when I am totally wasted.
