Alice in Wonderland. Where do we wanna go?
I came across this passage when I was blog surfing:-
In the story Alice in Wonderland, young Alice inquires of the Cheshire cat:
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to walk from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the cat.
“I don’t care much where,” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you walk,” said the cat.
Regarding the direction for your life, do you care where you go, or are you, like Alice, indifferent?
Over the past month through my struggles through life’s ups and downs, for the first time in my life I want to head somewhere. For the previous 23 years of my life, I lived directionless. A life where I would seek for my own enjoyment and pleasure first. And when that new enjoyment had run its course, I would be depressed and quickly seek another new enjoyment to cover the vague emptiness inside of me.
As long as we live without purpose, we will always be like Alice. It won’t matter which road you take if you don’t have a set goal in our lives.
